Applied Science @ Key Stage Five
This course is portfolio based with a number of assignments set. These vary from practical lab centred work to research involving ICT.
There are three units to complete in year 12 and three in year 13. Both AS and A2 have a short external exam. The units cover all three areas of science with an emphasis on biology and chemistry.
Applied science is particularly suitable for those students wishing to work in nursing, health and the caring professions.
