Key Stage Four

Drama offers you a varied and stimulating course of study.  It is of interest and use to both those students who wish to increase their knowledge of the Theatre, the Media and DramaStudents performing Drama work in an assembly. in general and to those who wish to study the subject to exercise their self confidence, oral skills and self discipline.

The course involves practical drama sessions which include improvised work, scripted work and video work; also technical sessions studying lighting, staging, costume and make-up.

Students are expected to keep a diary of the work they do as a course requirement.

The course also involves a lively series of visits to local theatres and workshops with local companies.  One such visit forms the basis of coursework.

The course is assessed through practical assessment leading to a formal practical examination and through the production of coursework.  Students will be expected to perform to audiences outside the classroom throughout the course.
