Stage 3 (Years 7-9)
NATIONAL CURRICULUM LEVEL DECRIPTIONS
Students
study a range of subject areas, which cover, over the course of three years,
basic drawing skills, painting, oil pastels, charcoal, clay, printing, collage,
papier mache and many more.
Students
are introduced to different cultures and artists both traditional and
contemporary. Exploring in example Native American tribes through to glass
sculptor Dale Chihuly.
Extra Curricular activities offer students the opportunity to further develop their work, or explore completely new themes such as life drawing. Those students who intend take Art as an option are encouraged to attend GCSE club to further develop their skills.
